Re: SWAT team raids animal shelter and kills Giggles the faw

And our police could use some lessons on how the police in Europe deal with people's dogs......they don't shoot them, but as part of the raid, have people assigned and trained to contain them safely. They killed the deer to protect it, just like the authorities destroy children's lives for being ch...

Re: A Couple Questions for LEOs.

Also, I've recently seen this, and was a little interested in everyone else's opinions. A young man was pulled over for some sort of traffic violation, the officer asks him to step out of the vehicle, which causes him to expose his handgun that was in (I'm assuming) the door of the vehicle. The han...

Re: SB 8 filed by Patrick

I am happy to see the bill filed, buy I have doubts it will make it to a vote. HB 9 on the other hand will will probably fly through. Most politicians are no longer representatives of their constituencies and are only interested in furthering their own causes and issues, from the local to the Feder...

If out of state examples count, Bernie Goetz was judged not guilty in the shooting but served time for having a gun.

Re: Question for FFL's..........

The purchase of the gun itself is, however, subject to Texas use tax. If the out-of-state seller does not collect the applicable Texas tax, then the purchaser is responsible for accruing and remitting the tax directly to the Comptroller's office . The Texas gun dealer handling the transfer is not r...

Re: CHL defends self and car

I read the article and it wasn't clear who fired how many shots or who was chasing and who was trying to escape. We do know the SUV owner was shot but we don't know if the carjacker was shot. Maybe that's why he left instead of completing the carjacking.

Re: Thoughts on the Practicality of Pistol Caliber Carbine?

I think one thing that we are forgetting is that we assume that we are always going to be able to have access to our rifle ammo. But what if there is a major natural disaster, civil unrest or something else that prevents us from getting our ammo. I think it would be a great worst case scenario carb...

Looking at the risk of death by criminal attack and the risk death by obesity related disease, the answer seems obvious.

I don't get into many fist fights. I have been in two fist fights since high school and both involved serious bodily injury.

If I ever use a gun in a fight, I plan to minimize the danger to innocents not minimize danger to criminals.
