Ditto on the weight. The kimber likely had an Aluminum frame. Much lighter tan the Wilson "steel frame", add to that the shorter barrle which makes for more muzzle flip. Then you have to factor in the possible difference in ammo as mentioned as well.

I have a full sized steel frame 1911 as well as a 3" Kimber, sure there is a difference between the two, but I love them both. :fire
