Re: Texas gov. shoots, kills 'wily' coyote during jog
I just got the watson email and unsubscribed as soon as I read the thing. I really don't remember subscribing to his news letter in the first place.

Like I said, I don't know if it works. Just something I've been told by some old family friends.WildBill wrote:Coyotes are smart, but I don't think that they would understand the cause and effect.CaptWoodrow10 wrote:That's an old ranchers trick to keeping coyotes away. I've heard that putting them up is a way to warn other ranchers that there are a bunch of them in the area. The people taking them down looked like hippies (no offense to any hippies we have here). Just an interesting sight I guess. Anyone have any more insight in the matter?
They do make for a pretty cool looking post cap though.

I'm pretty sure that you cant shoot them city limits (as most cities have ordinances restricting this type of thing), and I don't think you can blow them into a million pieces with dynamite either. A combination of the two is definitely a no no.chabouk wrote:I didn't think you needed anything other than a Texas hunting license to kill any coyote, anywhere, any time, by any means. Was I wrong?
