Went to the mailbox today, lo and behold there was a letter from the DPS in there. I start getting excited, rip it open, and.......

My Pin #, which I had gotten via e-mail 3 weeks earlier. Nice psych-out DPS.

Application Completed - license issued or certificate active

Bet I'd have plastic by now if I hadn't screwed up my app. I'm in "Missing or Incomplete Information. Letter Mailed to Applicant" land. I received my detaled letter pointing out my stupidity Thursday the 18th, sent it back and they received it Monday the 22. I called today and they said it will show processing application again by this weekend. She said "there are just a few more things we will look at before approving your, um, or denying, your application." We'll see what happens!

My only worry is from a couple of failure to appears for traffic violations in college, but the city and county couldn't even find documentation of that.

Ooops! I am a dufus! On my eligibility affidavit, on demonstrating my legal residence, instead of initialing at line a or b, I wrote "A" on the line. I will send it back corrected tomorrow. Would everything else be fine if they kicked it back to me for this, or is this just the first mistake they found?

Couldn't wait any more for for my pin in the mail! Addylo- you are beating me! I requested mine by e-mail today and received it in less than an hour! Bad news.

No pin yet, but from the looks of many recent signatures, 3 weeks for pin, followed by granted at 4 weeks, plastic at 5. Hope they are still chugging on at this rate.

Finally sent mine in yesterday! Took the class in 2005 and let time run out before I sent it in. Oops!

BTW, with the paper form (not printed off dps website) do you have 1 year or 2 to send it in?
