That's an issue I used to have at my job also. We have Glock 17s as the issued sidearm that gets passed along to the next shift. A while back there was a ND by one of the guards at the beginning of the shift & ever since then the policy was to not carry a round chambered. I broke that policy many times. Another policy was to download the mags by 1 round. I broke that policy several times also. Now I carry my personally owned sidearms.
