Footage from a surveillance camera pointed at the street where officers shot a mentally ill man in the abdomen earlier this week shows the man never walked toward police nor raised a knife to them, disputing a police officer’s narrative provided in a sworn affidavit.

I must have missed it.. Where are the affidavits ? or links to them? Im not seeing them at either of those two link you provided.

Thanks
I would think at this point if the affidavits did not exist the dept would have issued a statement stating such. Not looking good for the shooter or the dept. absent a coverup, time will tell.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.
I am not alleging, inferring, supposing or guessing the affidavits do not exist :tiphat:

I keep seeing folks state as fact,,, the affidavit states, says, or the officer said in the affidavit... yet, no one but the media has had access to them for us to know what they say.

I have a total distrust for what the media reports, they will add, delete, misquote, mix up different sections and post them as if there were a continuous paragraph, take things out of context and insert words or partial statements among other words or partial statements, all in the name of making a more entertaining article.

Im not supporting the officers actions, nor denouncing them..because I DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY SAID...or did not say in an affidavit I have not seen. I do not know what transpired on scene that a security camera did not capture. Have not seen the officer video or audio if there is some.

I admit, based on media reports I do not trust as fact, and the whole truth... it looks not good for the officer that engaged. :tiphat:

With all due respect.... we do not know that.
We know a media reporter, said that is what the officer said..

And knowing the historical accuracy of media sources, the bias they often have, and the very real fact that, they exist to entertain, and get your attention.. Not inform...

I have a hard time making statements on "fact" when the only facts we have are regurgitated and media fed ones. :tiphat:

These LEO's have zero integrity and are a disgrace to every honest American that ever carried a badge.

The Chief dropped all charges against the victim, as he should have. Now the Chief needs to turn the "armed assaulting officer" into a criminal felon so he can be stripped of the Right to Bear Arms forever.
Way to skip right over the investigation, grand jury, trial, trial jury, judge and jury decisions , skipping right to guilty based on media reports of what was said, someplace third hand or worse and a video tape that only showed part of the encounter and NO audio.

I've not seen anyone here "exonerate the actions" of the officers :headscratch .. I have seen normal thinking Law Abiding Citizens say we need to see and here ALL of the facts to from a reasonable opinion of what happened.

I didn't skip over anything nor did I say anyone was exonerating anything...
Oh, :tiphat:
Perhaps I misread your words posted and took from them something you did not intend to convey :headscratch

Re: Dallas LEO shooting video raises question's

ugg so many questions so little info.

Hard to see the threat from the officers side....but was not there.
For sure it's going to be a hard sell on there part to explain and articulate the perceived threat.

Wild guess will go anything from raciest murder to ND leading to follow on fire...

time and investigation will find the truth.
