Re: For those who have declared firearms at the airport...
I travel frequently all over the country for business out of Austin. I can say that the procedure varies widely from airport to airport, depending on the agents interpretation of the regulations and how TSA is set up at the airport. I have to open my safe, not open my safe, be escorted to the TSA xr...

Re: new to CC...how to Motorcycle carry?
My choice is a leather vest with a built-in internal holster. Something like this one:

TSA "Traveling with Special Items" help page here:

I dont think it has been mentioned in this thread - but note rules regarding carrying ammo.

Re: Traffic Stop
So, the last sign you passed was 70 mph, and he stopped you for speeding between there and the first posted 65 mph sign? If I understood that right, I'd be pretty steamed, warning or no. He was probably going more than 70mph too. Yes, correct, there are no posted signs between the last 70mph and wh...

Re: Traffic Stop
Maybe...many officers already have their minds decided on a warning or a ticket prior to the stop. Either way it was a good outcome for you! Indeed. I travel that route fairly often, and I had mentioned to the officer I did not observe a speed limit sign (70MPH on the toll road) after the toll road...

Traffic Stop
Just a quick note of thanks for all the great info that is available on this forum. I was pulled over for speeding. Before the officer approached my vehicle, I had my license and CHL in my hand on the steering wheel. He asked the location of my firearm, and then for proof of insurance. Came back a f...

Re: Watch Party
I usually only go to this facility for pro sporting events, so obviously no question there regarding CC. This latest situation gave me pause, not only regarding the 51% signage, but also if it qualified as a "professional sporting event" since it was hosted by the teams ownership. While I ...

Re: Watch Party
So, my attendance tonight yielded the following: No legal signs prohibiting carrying at the entrance, just a "weapons prohibited" sign, along with prohibiting no outside food, beverage, etc. I checked out one of the drinking establishments - the other was not open. No 51% or 30.06, or any ...
