Re: Fixed blade knife EDC

I EDC a Cold Steel Safe-Keeper III in-waistband at 9o'clock.

It is a "push knife", which means it has a T-shaped handle. Cold Steel makes other models of Safe-Keepers (the I and II) as well as the Safe-Maker line. I opted for the Safe-Keeper III because it is single-edged. Some of the pictures of it may look like a double-edged knife/dagger (and the other models are double-edged), but the Safe-Keeper III is single-edged. I've seen lots of complaints about the plastic sheath, but in almost a year of daily carry, I've had no issues. I wear the sheath inside the waistband, putting the sheath clip on the pants themselves, between the pants and belt. I've had no issues with retention or with the holster coming loose during draw (as long as the belt is being worn; going without a belt makes this a problem on the occasions I'm carrying the knife but not the pistol).

I don't use the knife for anything. It stays sharp and unused, ready for self-defense if needed (and hope it is never needed).
