Re: Texas history: when you REALLY want to put all the bullets in the same hole
It looks like an interesting story and I read some of it ... but it's really long. I do wish posters would explain why people SHOULD open a link. I'm certain a lot of great posts go unread because people won't click without an incentive.

WTS 1lb Hodgdon Lil'Gun
I have 1lb bottle of Lil"Gun unopened. I only reload for my S&W 500 magnum and this powder is not suitable for it. Would cost you $22 + $10 shipping at Midway if they had any right now. Will sell for $15 or trade for 1 lb of something suitable for S&W 500. FTF in Houston.

I'd get shot if the threat was real. I would not be able to shoot a child.

Re: Lockbox for large home defense gun?
I just ordered one of these http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31ls0G2-voL.jpg. It's designed to go under the bed. It's long enough for a rifle/shotgun but can also be used to store multiple handguns.

Re: Preston Tactical
Hope you don't mind me bumping an old thread. I have had three days of training with James -- Tactical Handgun I on two occasions and Tactical Shotgun once. Next Sunday, July 29, I am taking Tactical Handgun II. He is a superb instructor and his prices are very reasonable. his qualifications are ext...

Re: Garland gun range target of media smear campaign
With any open air range, it's possible that idiots will sometimes shoot over the backstop. It appears that the range was there before the houses therefore the problem was created by whoever decided to build houses within the potential range of a stray bullet. The people who create a problem should b...

Re: Conceal Carry when going to the Range?
I've only been to a handful of ranges (all in Houston) but I always do some shooting with my concealed carry gun as well as with those I carried in in their boxes. No one has ever complained at my producing a gun from a holster and reholstering at the end of my session. The rangemasters have comment...

Selling handguns interstate
I would like to start selling off some of my handguns that I am not much interested in. I've never sold a gun before. Problem seems to be that as a non-FFL, I cannot send guns out of state by USPS but need to use a carrier, who all seem to require the gun sent by overnight air. Is that correct? My p...

Re: AK-47 Accuracy
The "Official Soviet AKM Manual" originally published by the Ministry of Defense of the USSR states that "normal" performance with an AK-47 is 4 shots (or three with a flyer) within a 15 cm circle at 100 m. That equates to a 5.4" group at 100 yards or just over 5 MOA. The sh...

Re: 1911 US-made vs. foreign-made
When I was buying my 1911, my requirements were US made and as close as possible to the original 1911. I went for a Colt Model 70 reissue. Reasonable price (Buds), US made, looks very beautiful to my eyes. Shoots well except that doesn't always want to fire the last round in the mag (which I underst...
