Re: When There Is A Problem...

I emailed them yesterday and got a responce back in about 30 minutes. My plastic is printing. Then I checked this morning and

Application Completed - license issued or certificate active

:anamatedbanana

I wonder why it took over a week longer than everyone else I see posting on here?

When There Is A Problem...

For those of you that have had to get new fingerprints or passport photos- was that request usually right away or is it typically towards the end of the wait? The reason I'm asking is that my prints were sort of smudgy and I'm curious if, after waiting 30+ days, I'm going to get a letter requesting ...

Re: Leaving Gun In Motel Room?

Thanks for all of the suggestions. My wife made the reservations so I don't know if it has a safe but... Highly recommend one if these for travel. Used it in every hotel room on our summer driving trip (with a 3 year old and a 1 year old), and also used it to comply with California law. http://www.c...

Leaving Gun In Motel Room?

We have a family trip planned at the end of the month and I started thinking about what to do with my gun at the condo/motel type place (multi roomed hotel). My oldest son is 4yrs and I have taught him as much gun safety as possible but he is 4 and I just dont trust him :) . At home the gun goes rig...

Re: How are these questions about carrying possible?

My instructor was awesome but I was in no way ready to carry after leaving that classroom. I completely agree that the class is just the beginning. Spending 100 hours or so reading old posts in this forum ought to be a requirement... something to do while you wait for your plastic. Would it be a bad...

 I know the feeling!
I don't know why but I can't stop checking even though I know I have at least another week left before the status might change.

Re: Happy Birthday To Me!

The grip safety wasn't enough? Believe me I was prepared to argue that all the way to the couch... until she suggested I get the PX4. Then I just nodded obediently and said "OK honey.. if that will make you more comfortable" I love the XDsc. Mine is 9mm. It just feels good to hold. ...

Happy Birthday To Me!

I just thought I'd show off my new gifts. :anamatedbanana As I posted already in the Waiting Room- I originally got an XDsc as a birthday present for my concealed carry. My wife, however, discovered that it didn't have a thumb safety and vetoed that gun soon after I got it. She then suggested that I...

Re: Application Is In The Mail!

Well... bad news. My wife came into my office to check out the new MTAC holster that just came in (awesome holster by the way). She then decided to take a bizarre & sudden interest in my new XD. She asked if she could hold it and how she should grip it to shoot and where the safety was......uhhh...

Re: Life In Danger Question

Being a "gangster looking thug" is not a crime, nor is it an indication of evil intent. Neither is walking towards someone. Food for thought. I completely agree. That is why I said he could be coming out to help me load my groceries. I was not going to gun him down right there or anything...

Re: Life In Danger Question

Thanks for all of the replies! I really posted this because I was coming out of WalMart with my son (4yrs) and he decided to lay down in the grass median in the parking lot by my truck (why? because he is 4 I guess... I'm not really sure :) ). Anyway I was trying to pick him up but he was goofing ar...

Life In Danger Question

I'm sure this has been discussed but I've been searching here for a couple hours and could not find what I was looking for. Lets say that I'm walking to my car. The parking lot is pretty empty and I see a gangster looking thug about 20' away walking directly at me. He has that "up to no good&qu...

Re: Application Is In The Mail!

My vote goes to the XD subcompact, preferably in .40 S&W
I took your advise and decided on the XD subcompact- only in 9mm (because I have a zillion 9mm rounds already). Now time to go to the farm & test it out.

Re: Application Is In The Mail!

Thanks! I'm honestly not really sure what I'm going to carry. I have an FNP9 that I really love but it might be a little big for daily carry. I have a M&P9 sub compact that is small enough but I dont really like to shoot it that much. Also have a PX4 but it feels pretty big too. I'm really looki...

Application Is In The Mail!

Hi, After reading this forum regularly for the last year or so I'm finally joining! My paperwork is in the mail today and nothing to do now but wait... and shop for a new holster.... and probably need another new gun (I'll try to convince my wife that all of my other guns are just too big... let you...
