Probably...I'd pay it and keep on doing what I'm doing. It's the way I feel safest. It's $25-$50. The $200+ ones are in reference to child safety seat violations.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the odds of a LEO stopping another LEO for a traffic violation are pretty slim.
That being said, you may "feel" safer but it is a statistical fact that you are safer in any car with your seat belt ON. I won’t point out the obvious hypocrisy in enforcing the law while breaking it at the same time. That may be construed as cop bashing. Good luck out there :tiphat:

*Naughty naughty :nono:

“The average police officer thinks most cops get killed by felons, and that's not true. Cops are getting killed in traffic accidents,” said Richard Ashton, who studies traffic safety for the International Association of Chiefs of Police. “Officers don't think it can happen to them.”

*Emphasizing the power of public perception could also make a difference. How can officers write tickets for seat belt violations if they're not buckled up themselves?

You can't uphold the law if you're not wearing them,” said Houston Police officer Joe Sanchez, who said he always wears a seat belt.

So if you were to get a $165.00 ticket for doing 72 in a 70 MPH zone you would be grateful?

There is a red headed child in the room no one here wants to talk about. Do they talk about traffic ticket revenue at the citizens police academy?

Edit: $165.00 ticket

That's pretty normal from what I've gathered. It gives them space to move the car quickly if needed.
Never know when you need to bust a you turn and save someone's life in the opposite direction.

Or ticket an expired parking meter. "rlol"
You claim to not be anti-leo yet I haven't seen you post anything to the contrary. Whatever.

To the other quote - I don't think all cops think motorcyclists are stupid. We have however worked a fair share of motorcycle fatality accidents. I don't think anyone could disagree they are dangerous. Someone stopping behind and leaving room could be a number of things. I like to leave room for the above reasons, AND it allows me to run multiple plates at the light.

I'm not anti-LEO but this stop comes a little too close to a civil rights violation IMO. 5 MPH over? Give me a break. You try going the speed limit for one day. By the way, I'm one of the motorcyclists out there and I am acutely aware that there are some really bad drivers out there. I see cars piling up almost daily.
I was doing the speed limit on I35 the other day in the left lane and a truck zipped past me giving a finger gesture out his back window. I would actually like to see more traffic law enforcement; but go after the real offenders.
"where am I coming from, where do I work, what do I do there, how long have I worked there, a good number to reach me at" At the same time a member of this forum was having his house cleaned out along with all of his guns.

"Never know when you need to bust a you turn and save someone's life in the opposite direction." This sounded a bit, well...pompous.
Just ribbing you a bit with the meter maid remark. OK, I apologize :tiphat:

Sounds like a police harassment to me.
