If 1 yard = 1 cubic yard, then he has exactly enough dirt for all three boxes, as 1 box requires .33 cubic yards, correct?

My neighbor is building 3 planter boxes for his greenhouse. They will be 1' x 1' x 9'. He has 1 yard of dirt. How much dirt will it take to fill all three? Answers appreciated, but no complicated formulas please. As I said, were already too dumb
