I would still be very careful. Eyes are everywhere. How about a dressing room. Carry a pair of pants with you and try on a whole ensamble and see if you print.j1132s wrote: I face the holster towards the clothes rack.

Re: Warning Cabela's (in Buda) anti firearms policy
I've been to Cabela's in Buda. It's not a 30.06. You can carry there. I agree with Elgato. Intentional display.j1132s wrote:In case you're planning to visit Cabela's in Buda. This is the first store I encountered that had anything related to prohibiting firearms.
I went to Cabela's (a large outdoors store in Buda) for the first time during this past weekend. I was supprised to see a lot of signs at the entrance doors mentioning that you must checkin your firearm at the service desk. This isn't the 30.06 sign, so I ignored it.
I was carry my HK P2000 OWB under a thin jacket. I think possibly a few employees may have seen my gun since I tried out some jackets there and had to take mine off. (I wasn't planning to buy anything when I went there. Otherwise, I would not have carried OWB.)
So, it looks like the employees either don't care about their own store policy or they just didn't see my gun. But just a warning for you in case you are planning a visit.
