I called DPS today, and they verified the $50 charge.

So then when I were to renew next summer the instuctor's license would be good for two yrs?

They have changed up the website so it is not real easy to get around in (not that it was before). You have to dig around to find what you're looking for.

Thank you very much, sir. Thats exactly what I was looking for. So this being an "off" year, what is the difference in taking the class during one of the odd numbered years after session?

Questions

*Disclaimer* I have searched here, and the DPS website and I cannot find out how much the class to become an instructor costs. ( I am a 1st year law student and surviving on student loans, so I am on a fixed budget.) But, I am very interested in becoming an instructor. It would be a good way to make some supplementary income to help during my tight times in school, and help those who are interested in becoming responsible, armed citizens. Can someone answer this please?

Also, I just recently got my CHL (within the last month), are there any restrictions on how long you have to be a CHL holder before you can become an instructor. If there is any other pertinent information that y'all could share, I will be greatly appreciative.
