Re: Fountain Firearms closed by ATF
Wow I haven't been there since the 90s but I was going to go there today. Online they showed a pistol in stock that I was interested in. Glad I saw this post before heading over there.

New range opening in Rosenberg
Well I am pretty stoked that a range is finally opening close to where I live. It's on US59 in Rosenberg. I think they are targeting a soft opening this month, and hopefully will open to the public early in September. http://gtogrange.wix.com/sugarlandtx" onclick="window.open(this.href);re...

Re: Work and Right of Protection
That's an interesting point. The parking lot is open to the public- not just employees.bizarrenormality wrote:Is it a parking lot for employees only or is it open to the public? I'm asking because the parking lot law does not protect the general public.

Re: Work and Right of Protection
It is in the Labor Code. Specifically LC 52.061 and 52.062. If you have a CHL-16, it is in there. Yeah, it's pretty clear. I just wonder what their attorney told them that made them think those two together would prohibit employees carrying in their vehicle. There are many ways to interpret laws to...

Re: Work and Right of Protection
Thanks crossfire. I'm going to try and find the laws or rulings related to the parking lot and print them out. I think they posted the 30.05 to state that entering the property means that you consent to a search of your vehicle. I am anticipating they will do a random search in the near future.

Re: Work and Right of Protection
With a few exceptions, they are not allowed to prohibit employees from having a gun in personally owned vehicles in parking they provide for employees. However, they can prohibit guns in buildings and on grounds that are not parking areas. They can do that by policy and fire the offenders. They can...

Re: TactiPac Holster Arrived
I ordered a Tactipac Fusion in January and just got mine too. Today is my first day with it, and so far I can say it is extremely comfortable and I don't even notice it's there. I have also read about slipping on the kydex, and I have experienced that to a degree. I don't know that there is any solu...

Re: Accident At Reds Gun Range
It really sucks that you never hear the final details about range accidents. If it was some safety lapse, that would be information I would be interested in (either something the range employees didn't do or could do better, or something the victim could have done better, or just something to remind...

Their website says they are at 1200 S Mason. Is that the new location? I still wish there was a range in Sugar Land area.

I have the Hogue grips on my P239 and those do look like the same. I love my P239- just a great gun. Good luck on the sale!

Re: Minimum age at American Shooting Center
There may be no minimum to shoot there if you are with somebody, but unless they changed their rules- you must be 21 to purchase/rent range fees. One day, we were meeting a friend there who was 18-20 (I don't remember) and was in the Army Reserves. They wouldn't allow him to purchase range fees by h...
