The dog probably didn't attack b/c he knew the guy. However, their problem, as many others, could have been prevented by merely locking the door.OverEasy wrote:...thier 180# mastif didn't make any noise.(He probably licked the guy while he was having his ears scratched)

I keep doors locked. I know this won't prevent a motivated criminal, but the plan is that he will have to make enough noise to get my attention.
When I'm working in the yard, I leave the doors unlocked; however, I'm also wearing my gun while working in the yard.
I live in a semi-rural setting not far from Houston. Other than cows occasionally getting loose, not much happens out here. I still remain watchful, as one bad experience would be one too many IMO.
