When my employees ask if they can just use their fingerprints from when they <insert reason here> I tell them it isn't that you have been fingerprinted before, it's that we need the record of the person saying they are you right now.
It is a hassle, but the system works this way for a reason. If somebody with your identification submits prints that don't match your previous submissions, then you can expect all of your other licenses/privileges to be suspended until it gets straightened out.
