If possible, I would get out of there immediately. Other than that, keep a poker face and don't react.

I don't think this scenario is something to be concerned about in Texas. I've been in several situations were people were armed and not obviously police officers, and nobody got excited. In one case the guy was in front of me in line in a gas station, and he just paid for his gas with no one giving him a second look.

(I don't know what most these people were. One was an off duty copy who stopped for a car wreck in front of my house.)
