Was completely shocked yesterday morning at WalMart - Park and Tollway in Plano! There were four, 50 rd boxes of PPU, 9mm, 115 gr, FMJ at $14.57/box! Bought two of them - just like the old days! It's a sad day when I can get excited about buying somewhat cheap Serbian ammo! It was also a happy day that I didn't have to part with any still needed organ to afford two boxes of cheap Serbian ammo!

Just got back from Cabela's in Allen. They had Herter's Select Grade Brass, 9mm 115 gr, FMJ, non-corrosive, boxer primed on sale for $10.99 box of 50 rds. I have previously shot one box of this and found it performed just fine - a little nosier and hotter (almost +P) than Federal, but clean and accurate. They still had plenty - after a bit of searching the warehouse, they brought out a full shopping cart load - minus my five boxes :-)

Still able to pick up CCI Mini Mag HP .22 cal at WalMart for $6.47/100 rounds. The simple things in life

USA1, I would sure agree with you on the ammo availability. Certainly looking better in Dallas than it has for a long time. Prices seem to be reasonable - considering just a short time ago.

Still haven't made it to the range test this ammo. Anyone know the significance of 'Police' on the box? It does not appear to be +P ? Was near Cabela's north of Ft. Worth today - made a quick stop. Those folks are loaded up with all types, sizes, and flavors of ammo - probably had 25 different 9mm.

Just stopped by WalMart - Irving at lunch. Plenty of .40 and 9mm - they had four cases of 10 boxes each Federal FMJ 115g -9mm for $9.47/box of 50 rds (well, minus four boxes that I NEEDED ).
This was the first time I have stopped at this WM - usually shop at Tollway and GWB Tollway in Plano.
Keep hoping to see one of those big yellow smiley faces with "Price Drop" at the 9mm.. ..well I can dream!

I'm a new forum member (finally) that has been silently reading and learning for months - great general information and an incredible source of TX CHL specific knowledge. I'm in the Dallas area and will be off to take my CHL class in late January .
Stopped by the WalMart in Dallas at Forest and Abrams - they had about 40 boxes of Federal 9mm 115 FMJ for $9.47/box. No WWB, 50 or 100 rd. I usually find my 9mm up at the WalMart at the Tollway and Park Lane in Plano. Academy at Tollway and Parker in Plano has lately had plenty of 9mm Monarch (Steel and Brass case), Remington, UMC, along with a few boxes of Hornady SD.
