If you read the full text of Mr. Lincoln's Inaugural Address, you will see that he believed in our government exactly the way the forefathers intended it to be. He saw the constitution as "perpetual." His entire address was centered around the Constitution and how what he wanted to accomplish was driven by it. The word "Constitution" was mentioned too many times to count.jmra wrote:"This country with its institutions belong to the people who inhabit it. For the record, in Mr. Obama's Inaugural Address, he mentioned the word "Constitution" exactly ZERO (0) [goose egg] times. Yep, hard to believe, coming from a former Professor of Constitutional Law. Here it is for reference: http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/inaugural-address
