My son had his car for almost a year before we got a notice from the state informing him that he didn't have insurance.
Found out then that somewhere between the dealership and the insurance co., the vin number was off by one digit.
Called State Farm next day and got it corrected.
My .02, check your vin number on the car and make sure it matches your ins. card.
