Re: Santa's Wonderland, College Station 30.06?

Bumping this thread because I didn’t see an update for the 2019 season- they do have 30.06 signs posted this year, and just in case you “don’t see the sign” I’ll let you know now: they are funneling people through metal detectors.

Re: Why a Home Defense Shotgun?

Nothing quite as chilling as the sound of a pump action slide being racked. Bad guys beware! I read somewhere...long ago...that the SECOND most instantly recognizable, carnal-fear-inducing, psychologically paralyzing sound known to man is a shotgun slide being racked. No matter who you are, where y...

Re: PROPOSED: Houston Skeet Meet

I'd be up for it, and I am a member at PSC.
However, most of my weekends are pretty full this summer.
Keep this thread updated and I'll attend if I can.

Re: Left Hand Shooter

"I shoot an over and under. Of course mine is left-handed." I shoot a left handed O/U as well, but I shoot it right handed. "rlol" I know you're only joking, but if you look carefully some stocks are angled very slightly to one side or the other to accommodate left or right hand...

Re: My first black gun

I Live in Galveston and frequnet the T.C. Range. If you are in the area you can check mine out as it's got junk hanging all over it: EoTech, Troy sights, Surefire light and LaRue Tactical vertical grip also has carbine length rails. Whoa, hold on there, Surefire lights aren't junk... :evil2: PQC.

I just saw that segment too. I'd be interested to know what this person was carrying that would discharge after such a short fall (I know there are a myriad of possiblities...).

Re: What is the ideal weight for this barrel in5.56/.223?

1:7 likes the heavier bullets like 62grn-72grn. I've always understood the "weight / twist" relationship as such: As your bullet gets heavier (thus longer), you have to spin it faster to stabilize it. Therefore, the heavier bullets perform better in the 1:7 barrels. But I didn't think you...

It sounds like a classic "White Van" scam. Here's more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_van_speaker_scam" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; They probably targeted you at the bank so as to give you quick access to the money you would have needed to purchase the...

Can you recommend a Mechanic in Pearland or Friendswood Area

Greetings. Hopefully this is the correct place to post this. I've always done the maintenance and light to medium repairs on my truck, but due to age, wear and tear, etc I've got some engine repairs coming up that are beyond my abilities. I'm looking for an honest, trustworthy, competent mechanic in...
