I would go ahead and get the super tuck rather than the mini. I can use mine for any size 1911 3", 4" and full size 5".

I have the same weapon. Got it in December last year, and has been 100% reliable. I have about 1000 rounds through it, and have had no failures at all! I am going to send my slide to Kimber for night sights soon. The laser is cool, but I do not like the black sights on them. I cant see them in low light conditions.

I also carry mine in a SuperTuck, but I carry mine at 4:00 so can not speak to the whole behind the back thing. I never liked carrying that way.
