Re: Emp or 938
Springfield does in fact only make the EMP in 9mm and 40cal. The 45 must be the micro, very nice guns in 45, very hard to find as well. Although they do not have the same levels of fit and finish as the EMP's they are great shooters and reliable. I have been trying to buy some from my distributors ...

Re: Emp or 938
For me, the choice is easy. I have an EMP .45 that is my everyday carry. There is nothing I don't like about it. Carries well, shoots well. Stainless slide is moisture resistant. I did spend an extra $40 to have a gunsmith slick it up (polish feedramp, chamber roof, breechface, extractor) and lighte...

Re: Deaf child has to change his name
This story is being reported by 1 radio station and it is about a small town of less than 50,000 people in the middle of Nebraska. We all look at this story and think "that sounds crazy" are folks who run schools in small town Nebraska any different than we are? Probably not. My guess is ...

So, what you're saying is . . .

Re: Houston Police Department Response Times
I have a good friend who is a Lt. with HPD. He tells me that, because of hiring freezes several years ago, there was a significant gap where HPD wasn't adding new officers. Over the years, that gap has progressed through the aging/experience cycle of the police force, so that now, approximately 40% ...

Re: Accidental Discharge in Houston Restaurant
Clip and magazine are two different things. A clip fully recesses into the weapon, where a magazine only partially recesses. My XD-40 has a clip, which fully recesses into the handle of the pistol. My AR-15 has a magazine, which extends past the magazine well. I'll let you off with a warning this t...

Re: IDPA Tonight... it's gonna be cold!
Good to meet you, as well, G. I agree, it was fun, even with the cold. Looking at the scores, I think you shot very well, second time, or not. :tiphat: And, I know what you mean about becoming familiar enough with the routine of IDPA to be able to concentrate on the shooting. On the second stage, wh...

I'm in Katy. Impact Zone is north of Pattison, just a mite west and south of Monaville.

Re: Spotted a Guy Carrying
I was riding harleys this past weekend with the future step dad in law, and despite my multiple layers for warmth, I got off for a break and saw my jacket was riding OVER the grip of my pistol. Nice. Just what I need is a biker with a gun response from LE. Parka length (as opposed to short waist le...

Question Re: Selling Online
Selling some rifles and scopes on Gunbroker. In the picture of one of the scopes the serial number is visible, but not readable. I have had an inquiry asking what the serial number is. My question, what benefit would there be to knowing the serial number of a scope? Mfg date? Is there a risk to maki...
