Re: Recommendation for CHL class/private sessions please
On NRA website you can find scheduled classes. After reading the OP, I can see where you came up with that line of thinking. I almost deleted my first post thinking I had interpreted the OP incorrectly. I think your interpretation is entirely logical. Sorry if my original post was not clear enough....

Recommendation for CHL class/private sessions please
Hi all, It's been a while since I got my CHL (few years) and I finally convinced my wife to get one too. Any recommendations for a good class in the Plano area? Perhaps a private session? I tried looking in the schedule forum but there was only class published there and it was in FW. Thanks! :tiphat:

Re: Need recommendations for car gun
What about the lcr? It's a black coat with ss wheel, will it rust in the car?
I saw the s&w on jgsales.com but they charge for shipping which makes it a $300 gun shipped. At this price I can get a new smi-auto s&w ss or for extra $60 a new 642 from buds or the lcr from cdnn![Confused :???:](./images/smilies/icon_confused.gif)

Re: How do you open the door at home?
Thanks everyone for you interesting responses. I defenetly picked up a few good tips. Just out of curiosity, can you guys profile your area? I mean something like "bad part of town" , "hi end suburb" downtown Dallas", "out in the country" etc. It'll be very interes...

Re: How do you open the door at home?
I don't answer if I'm not expecting someone. If I am expecting someone, I look out first then open it. One time, someone tried to come in after knocking with no answer. That was scary! That's the problem with NOT answering. I think it's better to let someone know you're home, dialed 911, and just n...

Re: How do you open the door at home?
I have a shelf just inside the door that has a weapon on it for the few times I am not carrying. I will not open the storm door unless I know who it is but always have my hand on the shelf any chance for a picture of it? i was also thinking something in that line and would appreciate an idea of how...

How do you open the door at home?
The other day, around 9PM (was dark already) someone rung the doorbell. I open the door and the man at the door goes "there he is" and makes a move towards me. my first instinct was to block the doorway with my body (i'm 5'11 and about 300lbs) which kind of got him to realize he is not in ...

Re: Help me decide please
Any advice / suggestion will be appreciated. OK, but you asked for it. Get both. Carry both. When you can't carry both, carry the LCP. End of transmission. Done! Where do I send the bill to? In today's economy, one has to choose :???: did anyone try to carry the XDsc in an ankle holster? Is it an u...

Help me decide please
I want to get a new CC gun. I'm trying to decide between a XD 9mm the 3" sub compact version and a Ruger LCP. for the XD: + a "real gun" feeling + higher rounds capacity + I already have it's big brother the XDM in 9mm so ammo is the same. For the Ruger LCP: + a lot smaller + can be c...

Do you need a Website?
I like guns (well, don't we all?) I can help set you up with a website / hosting / domains / custom software for your business etc. (computer geek, you get the point). I want to expand my collection so I thought why not offer my services to this great forum's members and i can take guns in exchange ...
