Re: ammo on sale
Just got back from the Walmart in Alvin. They had 3 cases (3000 rounds) of Federal 45 on the floor and about ready to go in the case. $15.97 a box of 50. They also had plenty of other calibers but no 380.

Re: ammo on sale
I was at the Walmart in Alvin last night at 10:30 for some late night grocery shopping. Decided to stop by the ammo counter just to see what was there. Have not seen anything like that in 1 1/2 years. They had lots of 45 (win white box and federal) and 380 (Win white box). Lots of 9 and 40 (typical of what they have had on these for several months). Even a few white box 38 special. Did not see any 357 though. Now the price just needs to go back down.

Re: ammo on sale
I have talked to the clerks at the WW in Alvin about this. They have told me that the same three guys show up every morning at 7 AM and buy all that they are allow to have. That has left nothing on the shelf for the rest of us for a very long time. One of the clerks recently told me that they would no longer sell to these guys as they are buying for pawn shops/gun shows and that their manager supports that. We have been seeing WW white box and Fed 45 on the shelf lately as well as some 380 WW white box. Hope those folks buying for resale (at elevated prices) get stuck with a lot of ammo they can't sell.pdubyoo wrote:I'm curious why Gander Mountain, Academy and others can get the WWB 100ct boxes, but Wally World still has mostly bare shelves. They have a bunch of Federal these days, and I don't have a problem with Federal's price or quality...just curious.USA1 wrote:Went into Gander Mountain on 290 @ fm 1960 in the Houston area to gander , and the ammo shelves are completely
stocked (except .380). There was even a nice selection of SD ammo. I didn't make note of all the prices , but
WWB 100 round .45 was $41.00 and plenty of it.
