There he saw a woman, 20-year-old Katie Fierro, shot to death, a baby shot in the head, and a man with a gun.
"I wasn't going to let him shoot that baby again," said Clanton.
So Clanton stood between the shooter and the baby.
Clanton said he told the man “don’t even think about it.”

Inside the Bexar County home, Keller shot himself.
The 11-month-old baby, Cayden Fierro, survived the gunshot to the head.
Clanton said the baby’s grandmother told him the baby is now breathing on his own.
"I just feel like the Lord put me where I was supposed to be, and I was going to do what I had to do," he said.
