Burnet has a several interesting situations.
1) A section of the "strip center" across from the County Courthouse on the Downtown Square contains (According to the building directory in the Lobby) the County Indigent Medical Healthcare lady, a County Accountant/Treasurer something, other Misc County employees ... but as far as I can tell no "offices utilized by a Court"
There is NO sign advising either way about weapons
The sign on that portion of the strip center says "Burnet CO. annex" (Burnet County Annex) but there's a small brass plaque in the building that says "Burnet County Courthouse Annex" (which may be old, prior to the NEW County COURTHOUSE Annex building being built) .... now Burnet has a "new" "Burnet County COURT ANNEX" that was built ... and it has no weapons signs and metal detectors ... but the old "Court" annex in the strip center which may now just be a "County" Annex doesn't have those detectors or signs {Funny thing ... the Burnet County Judge on the old brass plaque ... is a CHL [and Spouse too])
2) Burnet County Tax APPRAISER (property taxes) on another part of the square used to have an unenforceable sign, but it was removed (I tugged on Superman's cape )
3) Burnet County Tax ASSESSOR/Collector (car license plates etc taxes) is located, along with DPS in the NEW Burnet County Courthouse Annex which has the sign and metal detectors
4) The "Burnet MUNICIPAL Court" is in the "Burnet Municipal Offices" section of a strip shopping center and there's no warning that there's a Court in there when you go in to pay a utility bill ... City Council is considering moving it all to a city owned facility (rarely used Community Center building) instead of renting from the strip center and we'll see what happens
5) Most other STATE offices in Marble Falls and have generic "no weapons" type signs which don't apply to Licensees.
Mostly you just gotta know where you can and can't under the Statutes, and know that the New County Courthouse annex metal detectors requires you to leave knives, guns etc in the car to get your Driver's license renewed at the DPS etc.
Most everybody else is carrying too, except the ones over at the Democrat Party ... not sure where they are, it's a strongly Republican area.
To be legal, the closest place to park to go to the Post Office, is probably the Train Station parking area, or maybe HEB
I sure don't miss Houston or Dallas much.

I noticed in the paper my city (very small town) has a couple city council positions and school board positions becoming vacant where term limits prevent the guys in office from running again. No problems with carrying here, but city/school finances need fixin' However if I still lived in Houston, I might make a donation of lettering to the municipality and not expect to be paid for my service, ... wonder if it's tax deductible ... I wonder if some unemployed person would accept a TEMP job applying them for pay instead of buying spray paint and defacing property with tagging ..
They might even get a free meal or so and an orange suit and a warm place to sleep for a while, but I'm not sure it breaks a law ...
stick on vinyl sign lettering donated to the city ... correcting a city error ... I wouldn't consider vandalism ... and a decent judge would get a laugh out of it.
Glad I live far away from that place now
Just came to mind as a cousin owns a sign company ... and I wonder how long it would be up before anyone cared. Most city workers would just think "oh another sign the city contracted to be put up which doesn't apply to me, so I won't bother reading it ..." never research either law, probably think that the new added sign is clarification that tcleose certified Police Officers are ok there, and never think about it. ... anyone who did, would(should) order both removed.
