perhaps they should lobby to keep guns out of the vegetable Dept at Kroger

Considering the Police Officer who got the gun taken away by the knife wielding carjacker today http://www.wfaa.com/news/crime/Man-gets ... 10403.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; .. I'm surprised they aren't calling for the disarmament of Campus Police .... so all (legal) guns would be off campus and everyone could "feel" safer.

The "keep guns off campus" guys are tweeting like crazy for everyone to call their Indiana Congressman to "keep guns off campus"INDIANAPOLIS -- A shooting at an Indianapolis Kroger grocery store is giving several gun-related bills new momentum heading into the legislative session, which begins Wednesday, Jan. 4.
A Kroger employee shot and killed a man who was trying to rob the store on Indy's northwest side Monday evening.
The employee likely violated the company's policy by having a gun in the workplace, but some state lawmakers told RTV6 the incident is proof Hoosiers should be able to exercise their Second Amendment rights.
"This is a great example of a case where an individual was exercising the right to protect themselves," said Republican Sen. Jim Banks, of Columbia City. "It bolsters the premise of allowing people to carry a weapon to protect themselves in situations exactly like this one."
Banks is expected to introduce legislation that would allow licensed gun owners to carry guns onto public college campuses in Indiana.
Currently, university policies prohibit guns, but Banks' legislation would override them, RTV6's Kara Kenney reported.
"What we don't know is what would've happened if this Kroger employee wasn't carrying a gun, and if he wasn't able to defend himself and the other employees," Banks said. "It could've been much more of a tragic situation. We'll never really know."
Students for Concealed Carry on Campus said after the Kroger shooting, the law needs to be updated.
