Thanks. Might should post at 3006.com if it isn't listed then.TexanByChoice wrote:I escorted my family to a concert at Stubb's last night. They have a 51% sign at both entrances to the restaurant, but none at the concert gate. I spoke with the manager and we looked at their liquor license and it says SIGN=RED. I asked him if that was their only license or if they have another (separate) one for the concert area. He said that they only have the one. As it is not my place to tell him how to run his business, I did not inform him of the legal need to post a sign at the concert gate, but it appears illegal to carry in any part of Stubb's.

Re: Stubb's BBQ 51%????
license is usually in a cheap picture frame on the wall by the cashier or bar along with city/state health dept/food service licenses, tax number, business license, first dollar they made or whatever.
I think they can get fined if it isn't publicly displayed.

or
SIGN=BLUE
on the license itself, rather than a sign they put up which may or may not be the correct one.
The license itself is supposed to be displayed for the public to see.
Business owners sometimes put up the wrong sign if they are colorblind or haven't learned their colors yet.

Re: Stubb's BBQ 51%????
If you would, post that up to texas3006.com as 51%Smily wrote:So I didnt have time to look at the actual license but outside BOTH front doors there are the RED 51% signs.
I took the gun back to the car and grabbed the Kimber Pepper blaster...

Still, it's possible they posted the "wrong" signs ...
only looking at the license itself will tell you if it is "supposed to be" a 51% red sign
As I understand it, both signs are supplied to businesses and they are supposed to know their colors if they went to Kindergarten, but many still post the "wrong" sign.
On the publicly displayed license itself it will say :
SIGN=RED
SIGN=BLUE

Subordinates: CB,LB,PE
MIXED BEVERAGE LATE HOURS PERMIT (LB)
Permit authorizes a Mixed Beverage permittee to sell mixed beverages until 2 A.M.
If it had FB ,,,, then it' would be blue/under v51% I forget what the others are so I dunno
The absence of an FB means it could be EITHER red/prohibited for licensees or blue/allowed for Licensees
So
![confused5 :confused5](./images/smilies/confused5.gif)
Could call them "Hello, I'm checking on local liquor licenses and I see yours was issued on ___ expires on ____ could you look at it and verify whether it says sign=red or if it says sign=blue?"
Who am I?
I have an official position with the ___ Government and I'm not at liberty at this time to disclose my title, but I'm surveying TABC licensees by phone as it's easier than walking into each place where they are publicly displayed to get the info.
(Official title = Taxpayer, but they don't need to know that....position is usually "bent over")
