Slow learning home invaders

Home Invasion Suspect Caught

The male driver exited the vehicle, and kicked in the front door to the residence.
The male suspect entered the residence displaying a handgun, placing the two female occupants of the residence in fear for their safety.

I say slow learners because it's days after (same newspaper):

My comment there:
AK -47? You mean that kind of rifle that Brady Campaign says has no defensive use?
