I just had a nice memory flashback.
Dad and I spent every Thanksgiving together after mom passed.
Usually at Luby's.
One year we were too late for Luby's and went to a Denny's type place that had a Thanksgiving dinner special.
We sat down and the waitress said "Sorry, we ran out of Turkey, so you can't order the Thanksgiving special"
I looked at the menu and asked "Do you still have Turkey sandwiches?" she said yes, I said "Two of those, hold the bread, and two Thanksgiving specials, hold the turkey."

Been cloudy amm morning here north of Austin, Temps haven't changed much, Me and the neighbors are all going to the Catholic Church about 11 a.m. We have an annual feed everyone in the town there Thanksgiving lunch. (Our town is big on feeding people, we do it at various churches every Monday and Thursday anyway, no need to be impovrished, just a desire to not cook or do dioshes
