Re: How full do you load your weapons?
Okay, so today I carried my LCP for about 3 hours straight with a round in the chamber, of course I left the unloaded mag at home to optimize carry weight. After about 45 minutes I could really start to feel a tug at my draw string running shorts from the extra weight of the 90gr. Hornady TAP and an hour in my left thigh was really starting to burn from the added weight on that side. Initially I blew it off as nerves from all the firepower I was packing. Well, around 3 hours in I could no longer take it, I had a charlie horse in my thigh, and though I wasn't "printing", I was developing a serious case of CHL limp. I had to return to my truck, remove the live round from the chamber, place it in the lockbox under my seat, re-holster and continue on. Let me tell you, the reduction in weight was immediatly noticable. I returned to my daily activities with the comfort and security of my completely empty LCP.

I was under the impression that all replies to this thread were serious? Seriously.

Re: How full do you load your weapons?
I have actually considered swithing to an all metal blowback style airsoft 1911. That way I have the look of a gun, the ability to make the awesome racking sounds, and its fairly lightweight. If the noise doesn't scare them off (not likely) it still has enough heft that I can throw it at the BG. If I have to do that as a last resort, I am only out about $60. For home defense I have a VERY loud whistle.
