Re: Gander Mountain shopping

I had some time to kill yesterday while on the way to the shooting range so I stopped in Gander Mountain in Spring. I had never been in a GM before and was blown away by the prices....$9.95 for 50rds 22 LR!! $21 FOR CCI Maxi Mags!! Kimber Ultra CDP $1799.00, :smilelol5: WOW!! They did have some Critical Defense .380 for $24, which really suprised me bc of the rest of the prices, but that is still high. Needless to say, they won't be getting any of my money for ammo or shooting suplies. I would rather pay range prices for ammo!!

On the topic of buying American, I am all for it; however, we live in a modern global market. Unless you are buying produce or artisan/craft goods, very few "American Made" products are soley owned and made American. Even products made in the US are often sourced from overseas or owned by forgien entities. A prime example would be new homes, which are obviously built here in the US. The labor is typically immigrant workers, wood, steel, copper, sheetrock, and many of the basics of building a house are imported. The best way to support your local economy is to spend your money locally becasue if nothing else, the people running the register usually live in your community. :patriot:
