
On the topic of buying American, I am all for it; however, we live in a modern global market. Unless you are buying produce or artisan/craft goods, very few "American Made" products are soley owned and made American. Even products made in the US are often sourced from overseas or owned by forgien entities. A prime example would be new homes, which are obviously built here in the US. The labor is typically immigrant workers, wood, steel, copper, sheetrock, and many of the basics of building a house are imported. The best way to support your local economy is to spend your money locally becasue if nothing else, the people running the register usually live in your community.
