It seems like your having the same problem i did when i first got mine. Most of my problem was i was just paranoid, but i did find out that mine is less likely to print when the left side clip is in the highest hole (looking from the back)and the right side clip is at the second hole from the top. Im 5' 8" 180 So we are about the same size.
