Larry loved jalapeñas and he kept a one gallon jar of jalapeñas and
onions and carrots on his kitchen counter. So one day after work, we
were going to have chili con carne at his apartment. Of course he
offered me a jalapeña, but I declined saying, "I will just try one
of the carrots". Because Larry joked so frequently, I was not sure if
he was serious when he said, "I would stay away from the carrots".
I should have stayed away from the carrots!...
