Don't worry, if you're accosted on the street just pull the empty LCP and rack the slide. It's just like cycling a pump shotgun, bad guys will go running!Carry-a-Kimber wrote:Okay, so today I carried my LCP for about 3 hours straight with a round in the chamber, of course I left the unloaded mag at home to optimize carry weight. After about 45 minutes I could really start to feel a tug at my draw string running shorts from the extra weight of the 90gr. Hornady TAP and an hour in my left thigh was really starting to burn from the added weight on that side. Initially I blew it off as nerves from all the firepower I was packing. Well, around 3 hours in I could no longer take it, I had a charlie horse in my thigh, and though I wasn't "printing", I was developing a serious case of CHL limp. I had to return to my truck, remove the live round from the chamber, place it in the lockbox under my seat, re-holster and continue on. Let me tell you, the reduction in weight was immediatly noticable. I returned to my daily activities with the comfort and security of my completely empty LCP.

Re: How full do you load your weapons?
You haven't seen fear until you've pulled one of these on a thug:
Pros: It's scary, and if you paint it black it makes it even scarier. Believe it or not my right hand is banned in Chicago. Also, I'm usually carrying it with me anyway, so it doesn't add weight.
Cons: I can only make that cool slide racking sound once every couple of months, and I have to go to the hospital afterward each time.
