i have to use this word at least 10+ times daily, and i get lazy saying the full pronunciation. most times i end up saying something that sounds like "bar-rur"

I'm glad someone else posted this. They do have a specific division just for Texas that is 100% franchisee owned. The Texas locations have their own me is that are only available in TX. for what its worth.puma guy wrote:Man I really hate to melt your Blizzard, but Dairy Queen started in Illinois and is now headquartered in Minnesota. Just goes to show how effective advertising can be! Kind of like Texas and Armadillos the myth lives on.anygunanywhere wrote:True, but a Blizzard with your favorite add-in on a hot summer evening is hard to beat. DQ is a Texas company too. Medium Cookie Dough Blizzard with extra stuff. Yumm!puma guy wrote:I understand your frustration. The stuff Dairy Queen serves in there combs isn't ice cream.Abraham wrote:"Ice Cream Comb"
Upon hearing this, I thought I'd misheard until she repeated it.
To top it off, she was a Dairy Queen employee.

Along those lines "physical" again, perfectly fine word, but not when you're trying to say "fiscal year." I hear this multiple times a day at work.Abraham wrote:"Ideal" which is a perfectly fine word, but not when it's used in place of "Idea".

You're yolking right?WildBill wrote:Next time order sunny side up.puma guy wrote:Well here's an Eggs-ample of misuse of words. "The Broken Yolk" cafe. My bro and I went in and he ordered his eggs hard cooked with broken yolks. He got two eggs sunny side up and that was after we waited 15 minutes for our food. He hasn't been back there, but I gave them one more chance with my wife in tow and the service was just as slow and both our orders were totally wrong. The sign still says Broken Yolk even though they apparently don't know the definition of the term.budroux2w wrote:eggsactly.jmra wrote:It's happened at a number of places.
