The one day class put on by DPS is classroom only. You need to qualify on the range with both revolver and SA. That is being done by other instructors. You will then receive a CHL-100 with the "instructor" checkbox marked, and send that in to DPS to register that you've successfully qualified.extremist wrote:OK I'll bite. So what does this instructor range qualification get me?
I've been notified that I have to take the "One Day CHL Instructor Renewal Class". The closest one that has been offered has been over in Mesquite in November. I've passed on that informing them I'd prefer something on THIS side of the metroplex (Tarrant County).
So doesn't that "One Day CHL Instructor Renewal Class" include range qualification?
If I come do that, is that all I need to do? How about the "rest" of the class?
Confused, and hope I'm not the only one.

Crossfire is offering the range qualification only. There is no classroom portion from her.
