As I recall, at least for NEW instructors, the background check remains under review until the certificate is actually issued (or at least until the class is taken, as shooting is separate from the class, now).dogflight wrote:So, those of you who have received the instructor renewal class invitation, is your status on the DPS website complete except for the training? Mine still shows "Background Check: Under Review". I'm curious if they are using that as a toggle for when the email goes out. Since I paid in January, submitted paperwork in May, it's highly unlikely that there is truly anything in "review". Unless they simply have not submitted it yet.

Re: Email from DPS to instructors
Me too. This does not bode well. I can only hope they echo all email communications with snail-mail, as that has been the only official communications to date. My status STILL says they are waiting for required documents even though I have sent everything TWICE electronically, and once via return receipt s-mail.extremist wrote:I did not receive the email either.
I renewed and sent in NRA certs months ago.
I know they have my correct email address.
I got the email forwarded to me from another instructor friend.

Re: Email from DPS to instructors
Didn't get it. And I re-notified them of my email address a couple of weeks ago.
