Well, suit yourself, but part of the magic is watching the "hero" degenerate to a villain. Where he was indeed a tragic-hero in the first seasons, attempting to overcome tragedy in order to provide for his family after his death, (although through non-traditional methods); over the seasons, he becomes anything but heroic. And loses all that is important to him in the process. The Annoyed Man wrote:I have a Netflix account, and my son has been watching it and thinks its a boss show. It's just that I deal with real life addiction issues in the real world in my ministry, and I have a hard time watching a show where the hero makes and sells that stuff.sjfcontrol wrote:You have no idea what you've missed. It's worth a Netflix account just to watch the first season. You'll be hooked after the first episode or two. It's "addicting"!The Annoyed Man wrote:No idea. I've never watched a minute of it.fickman wrote:Isn't this the preferred method on "Breaking Bad"? (No spoilers, please, I just finished season 4.)
Others' mileage may vary.
Anyway, it has been the most fascinating series I think I've ever watched. But I understand if it hits a little too close to home for you. Too bad.
