So basically, you can get parts from a Full Sized Kimber 1911 and throw them in a Rock Island, I mean like the Barrell, Trigger, Slide? Can they take the same magazines? If I go on the Brownells website can I order parts and put them in my Rock Island?

If you want a Classic .45 APC Pistol Designed by Browning, go with a 1911. If you want a 9mm pistol designed by Browning go with a Browning Hi Power.
Dont get a 1911 in 9mm, its just...WRONG somehow.
I have a Browning in 9mm and in 40S&W, and I love them both. The Browning MKIII is the best (atleast I think so.
I've had limited experince with 1911s, I like the Rockland Armory 1911 the best of the 3 I've tried, but then again, the other two I tried were sub par and rentals
