Do we have any information as to whether he did what he did to alarm anyone? If he was just minding his own business and such, I have to say that a 90 minute detention based on his clothing looked suspicious...a lot of folks would probably have an attitude. Sounds like profiling based on the clothes he had on. Sort of like someone wearing a hoodie...on a cold night. This sounds an awful lot like what the future will bring with SMWAG (scary MWAG) calls. If they spent 90 minutes on him because of clothing and camera equipment, and they thought that was a reasonable detention, can't wait to see what will be justified because of someone openly carrying.

If they start that game we can stop it real quick. All we have to do is just start carrying so they won't have time to do anything else but go from one MWAG to another.
Said in a way that I hope doesn't come across like....some groups that carry for emphasis....I have pondered what exactly someone like Austin would do if there were hundreds and hundreds of MWAG calls coming in. Would they give it up and go back to their day jobs? :thumbs2:
I want to clarify. I am not advocating a “demonstration” or anything like “OCT”. All I am saying is those that have a license in or near a community that takes that attitude open carry for a week or two. I think the 90 minute detentions will quickly drop to 15 seconds or less.

About the second time the same officer handled a call on me, I would offer to buy a cup of coffee and pie. Might end up with a good friend in law enforcement.
