Please allow me to explain (no bragging intended).MasterOfNone wrote:I don't think anyone was offended; just surprised that you are willing to bet your life on your ability to outdraw any BG that you may face.VoiceofReason wrote:If I have offended anyone, I apologize but I feel that sometimes a little reality can be helpful.
Practice, practice, practice.
I wear a shoulder holster with my Kimber under a denim vest. I often put snap caps in my guns and practice drawing facing a bed in case I drop it. I can let go of my cane, draw my Kimber (right handed) and drop the hammer before the cane hits the floor.
I carry a Berretta 32 in a pocket holster in my left front pocket as I use the cane in my right hand. I can put my left hand in my pocket if I sense a possible threat, have the gun in my hand and no one ever knows. I can draw and fire the 32 in less than a heartbeat.
I shoot the Kimber right handed and only shoot the 32 left handed. When I shoot the Kimber, I aim with my right eye and when I shoot the Berretta I aim with my left eye. Of course within 20 feet I point and shoot.
I am crippled. I cannot run and I cannot fight. I can only hope that if someone tries to pull a weapon on me, looking down the barrel of a 45 might change their mind. At one time I was an LEO. I know what can happen on the street and how fast.
I am crippled but I do intend to protect my wife (43 years) and myself.
