Just because someone is poor doesnt mean that they should live without a good gun and holster. I have a female friend that bought a .22 lr revolver for $100 from Academy. I modified the barrel so that it is shorter and remounted the front sight. Then, she made a similar holster to the one shown by sewing together an old bra strap for the back and some scrap cloth from an old t-shirt for the front with a pocket for the revolver. For her birthday gift, I gave her an extra cylinder for .22 magnum plus a box of HORNADY self-defense rated .22 magnum ammo. Just remember, that if you're carrying a SA revolver, to keep the chamber under the hammer empty due to a lack of a modern firing pin safety. Her entire setup costs less than what many pay for just the holster alone.jayinsat wrote:I agree with Mrs Anygun. Purse carry is just waiting for the gun to be stolen. She was thrilled at the concept and the cost was not an issue. I have at least this much in unused holsters in drawers.

Re: For ladies only
It's NOT a bra. It's only a belly band. I don't see why men can't wear those.baldeagle wrote:Some of you ladies might be interested in these, although you have to be fairly slender to use them AND they are a bit pricey.
I wouldn't wear it, but just sayin'....
