Re: Home Gun Choice

If you will be working in dirty, rough conditions, don't buy a fancy gun and ruin it. Buy a Kel-tec p3at. It is small enough to disappear in any pocket. It is cheap enough that you won't cry if the finish is marred. Lots of people don't know how to use them. They think that the gun jams a lot and try to unload them real cheap. Just buy one with a low round count and slather generously low viscosity oil such as breakfree clp onto the feed ramp. it will work fine.

How to make your sub $200 used kel-tec 100% reliable;
1. clean with hoppes no. 9
2. oil outside of barrel and places on slide that contact the barrel with mobil 1 synthetic motorcycle oil.
3. oil slide rails with tetra white lithium grease.
4. oil all other surfaces with breakfree clp.
5. oil feed ramp (where bullet enters barrel) with LOTS of breakfree clp.
6. enjoy!
