Matrix68 on our forum just PMed me after writing his congressman and senator, so he won the 2nd and last holster that I'm giving away. I invite you to continue writing your congressman and senators, but the free holster contest is over.

Re: Anti-2A Biz in Dallas, Beware! Valley View Mall rally.
TimM just posted a letter on The High Road forum. I'm sending him a holster. Guys, post your letters and I'll roll the dice to see if you get a holster, too!
TimM's post:
http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=483051
P.S. If any of you guys want to help, I invite you to post here an offer to randomly pick a person who writes letters and give this person a prize, such as a gun (by legal means such as FFL to FFL) or some gun product or perhaps you could give away an NRA membership (it comes with a neat gun magazine subscription).

OK, due to non-response, I'll step it up a notch. The first person who posts a copy of their letters will get a holster. Subsequent posters will get a dice roll and if the dice hits snake eyes (2 ones) then I'll mail you a holster. I will give away a minimum of 1 holster and a maximum of 2 holsters.
C'mon, y'all! Political apathy is what got us 0bama, socialism, arms control, and moral decline. I invite you to get writing, Now! (thanks)

Re: Anti-2A Biz in Dallas, Beware! Valley View Mall rally.
You can post your own "unlicensed possession of a handgun is forbidden here." sign, it doesn't have to be a TABC sign. It's sort of like a "gunbusters" sign if you word it yourself with similar (not same) wording. Liberals who are not familiar with guns will not make the distinction between unlicensed and licensed. They will see the sign and say, "hey, gun-free zone, cool." We will see the sign and say, "hey, I'm licensed, cool." That way, the mall will be able to please everybody and make money. If they were to just remove the 30.06 signs, it might be harder for us to persuade them to do so.
Come on guys, post your letters here and get a free heirloom quality custom holster !
(you may censor/exclude personally identifiable info such as your name address)
![fire :fire](./images/smilies/fire.gif)
P.S. Isn't the UNLICENSED possession of a handgun (carrying without a CHL) a felony anyways? You're just notifying them of the law. How can that be a misdemeanor? As long as the sign is not worded as nor claimed to be a TABC sign, it should be fine, just like gunbuster signs are fine.
bdickens: When I lived out in the country, I used to drive over 60 miles into town every weekend to go shopping. When I lived in Oklahoma, I used to drive into Dallas every month for ethnic food. Yes, you can shop regularly at a mall over 200 miles away. After you write and post your letters, I'll probably be sending YOU a free holster since nobody else has responded to my post. (argh).

Free Holster Giveaway !!!
Due to a lack of response, I will be giving away a free USA HANDMADE LEATHER HIP HOLSTER in a drawing for all those who write letters. In order to qualify for the free holster, write 2 letters (one for JC Penney and one for the mall management) with a word processor and print them out. Be sure to sign your letter with a pen. Then, cut and paste the letters into this thread by posting your letters. I will randomly draw one person one week from now to win the holster. The winner will be drawn from a pool of posters on this forum, the THR forum, and the Defensive Carry forum. You may only enter into the contest once. You may not enter once at each of the three forums. After you win, I will PM and tell you where to mail a signed sworn statement that states you really wrote and mailed off 2 letters plus either made a phone call or sent an email. After I receive this, I will mail you the free holster. If you are a woman, I will send you either a free holster or if you'd like, I can install the holster in your purse. Just mail me a purse with a broken shoulder strap and I will fix it and turn it into a purse holster. Please do not send me a new purse (some designer purses cost over $1000 and I do not want to be responsibe for it). I will even customize the purse or holster with your initials or name (if your name isn't too long, I can do "John or Jane Smith" but I cannot do "Edelbringen Wyzinski Petrovosky", though EWP is O.K.). I can even engrave custom patterns or floral prints on it, if you want. Winner will be announced here on the forum. Sorry, there is not a picture of the holster/purse as it will be CUSTOM MADE. A pic of the holster/purse will be posted on here after it is finished and ready to ship to the lucky winner. I invite you to start writing those letters now and fight for your constitutional rights!
P.S. the holster will fit a medium size automatic or snub nosed revolver such as a Glock 19 or Charter Arms Pink Lady.

Re: Anti-2A Biz in Dallas, Beware! Valley View Mall rally.
Hey, some months ago, I and some buddies of mine wrote a bunch of letters to Willow Bend Mall. They have not responded to our letters so I thought that they blew us off. I haven't been back to that mall since. Because of what Kythas said, I went there this morning and the 30.06 sign is gone! Yay! Those letters really worked! Thanks for pointing this out to me Kythas!
The tide is starting to turn! Let's keep up the pressure folks! I invite you to write the Valley View Mall and JC Penney. Also, please be sure to phone the property manager of Valley View Mall. Phone calls are more attention-grabbing, but emails are a good 2nd bet if they don't answer the phone: robb.jackson@macerich.com
. Or you can even leave a message for them saying that you're interested in renting a store. Then, when he calls back ask if he has 30.06 posted and explain that you've changed your mind about renting since he doesn't respect constitutional rights. Be sure to promise to shop there once the signs are changed. Remember, they are a business and business are ONLY about making money. This holliday season is make-or-break for many retailers and if they can do something (anything) to make an extra buck this holliday season, they WILL do it. That's why I did not suggest that they only take down the 30.06 signs, but to change them to "UNLICENSED handguns are prohibited" signs so that they won't offend their liberal customers who don't know the difference between a 30.06 and other legally invalid signs. That way, their support of our constitutional rights will mean MORE business for them, not less. If you can send in copies of receipts from purchases at their mall that you've made in the past like the other poster suggested, that would be great. Remember, they'll do ANYTHING for a PAYING CUSTOMER, but not a civil rights agitator.
Thanks guys!

P.S. mymojo, I understand that business owners have a right to exclude anyone that they want, including CHL holders. However, private businesses (especially ones that operate as private clubs) also have a right to exclude minorities such as Blacks and Hispanics. Didn't Martin Luther King stand up against this? In addition, we as customers have a right to spend money where we please. You might be surprised to find that writing a letter to remind them of this is a good idea.

Anti-2A Biz in Dallas, Beware! Valley View Mall rally.
Hi,
I just discovered the website: http://www.Texas3006.com . Anyways, it seems like more and more businesses are popping up these 30.06 signs. This is a violation of our constitutional rights. Remember the adage, "United we stand, divided we fall?" Well, I invite you to write a letter to Valley View Mall, threatening that your family will to do this year's Christmas shopping elsewhere if they do not tear down their 30.06 signs and replace them with "the unlicensed possession of a firearm is a felony" signs. The reason for the "unlicensed possession of a firearm is a felony" sign is so that they can "save face" in front of their liberal customers (that way they'll keep all customers and remain profitable, the goal of all corporations). An avalanche of snail mails will really get their attention. Please write to:
Valley View Mall Management address:
Arthur M. Coppola
Macerich
401 Wilshire Blvd, Suite 700
Santa Monica, CA 90401-1452
Also, write to major retailers at the mall such as JC Penney to have them pressure mall management as they do not want to lose business:
Myron E. Ullman III
JC Penney
6501 Legacy Drive
Plano, Texas 75024 - 3698
Please keep the letters short and to the point. For example, this is what I will write;
Dear Mr. Coppola, I respectfully request that you remove all the 30.06 signs in front all your malls, especially my local mall, Valley View Center. My family will not be doing any Christmas shopping at establishments that do not show support for our constitutional rights and therefore will not shop at Valley View this holliday season if the signs are not removed promptly. After you replace those 30.06 signs with signs that say, "The UNLICENSED carrying of a handgun on these premises is illegal," then we will resume shopping at Valley View Center. Thank you, (my name).
Dear Mr. Ullman, I respectfully request that you pressure Mr. Coppola of Macerich to remove all 30.06 signs in front of the malls that they manage with a JC Penney's in it, especially my local mall, The Valley View Mall. My family will not be doing any Christmas shopping at establishments that do show support for our constitutional rights and therefore will not shop at Valley View Mall this holliday season if the signs are not removed promptly. After you replace those 30.06 signs with signs that say, "The UNLICENSED carrying of a handgun on these premises is illegal," then we will resume shopping at JC Penney. Thank you, (my name).
Also, be sure to call Rob Jackson, the property manager at Valley View Mall: (972) 661-2939
Again, just keep it short and sweet. Just politely tell him that you've shopped there in the past, but will refuse to do so this Christmas if they don't remove the 30.06 signs to show support for constitutional rights.
You might be surprised to find that if we were to write letters to different malls, then our efforts would be too scattered to do any good. If you live in Texas, please write letters to the Valley View Mall (and JC Penney) so that we'll concentrate our letters in one place for maximum effect. If you do not live in Texas, please refer to this map for a Macerich operated mall near you:
http://www.macerich.com/static/files/do ... ure_09.pdf
Thanks,
P.S. I chose the mall as our rallying point because it is the most effect for the least amount of letters/phone calls (& work) since liberating the mall would essentially liberate over 100 businesses with just 2 letters written and one telephone call per person (one to JC Penney and one to Valley View Mall).
