.I've been able to scrounge up some .40 from various places all through the drought, all though quite expensive at times. But through frugal shopping over the last few weeks and the somewhat relief in the ammo drought I've brought that stash up to around 600rds.
As far as .223 I just pretty much gave up on finding reasonably priced ammo. Caved in and bought a few hundred rounds at a ridiculous price(compared to about a year ago)
And for the ol 7mm SA Ultramag its always been a ammo crisis for that rifle ever since I got it. But scored about a month ago and found three boxes on closeout for $24.95 each(usually near double that if they even stock it). I was down to four rounds by the end of one deer season
