When I took my CHL class, the instructor suggested either saying nothing ("Don't talk - shoot") or hollering "CHL - CHL - CHL!!". He jokingly said that doing so would draw other CHL's to the scene so that they could have a chance to empty their magazine as well (jokingly that is...). Seriously, the idea was that by hollering "CHL", you might avoid getting shot by another CHL or LEO who happens on the scene. (Assuming of course we had left our CHL badge at home that day :lol: )

I think the reality is most of us will only have the brain function to do one thing at a time in such a stressful situation - either talk or shoot. If you drew your gun in the first place, it was to shoot. I would think it is not like the movies where you get to say a catchy one-liner.

If I had to say something like "STOP" or whatever, that would be before I drew - say it while hand was going to the gun. But once the gun comes out, I think shooting and moving to cover will take precedence over talking.
