Re: A bad situation that thankfully didnt turn worse

I was in no way claiming or trying to be a superhero with an invisible badge... I heard a girl scream and I acted on it. I couldnt beleive it took an office over an hour to show up though.

A bad situation that thankfully didnt turn worse

I've been reading through various stories on here, so I decided that I should give a little piece of my input. I am primarily writing this because I have read several posts with people asking people what they think they would do. I feel I handled this situation very well, and am very happy that I wa...

CHL Address question

I seem to remember reading about this a while back but cannot remember for sure. My CHL address matches my driver’s license address, but I have moved for school. The address on both of my licenses is my permanent address so I do not need to get them changed right? Where I am now is just a temporary ...

Re: September 2009 Applications

The mail brought mine in today as well... I didn’t do a traditional "wally walk" but I did an academy, target, and restaurant walk. I couldn’t resist academy's 3.99$ a box .223 sale.

Re: In Austin ... looking for help

I have a full size 1911 that I love but is a little on the bulky side. For that reason I recently picked up a springfield xd sub compact 9mm. The xd is an excellent gun and easy to carry. I have a comptac mtac for both pistols for iwb carry, and a Blackhawk cqc without the locking mechanism for owb.

Re: Anyone carry blanks?

Maybe I am weird but you can plan worst case scenarios all you want. But… When it comes down to the moment and stress kicks in. Do you really think that when you pull the trigger you are going to remember to pull the slide again because the blank didn’t cycle? I have seen people in high stress situa...

Re: September 2009 Applications

Woohoo, I just did my morning check and it says "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active"! That was very quick. DPS received my application on September 29th, and completed on November 20th. Well, i guess I have to be like everyone else and drag the recliner out to the...

Re: Question concerning the laws

I agree with drjoker on this. I view it basically as a very last resort, and a resort that I hopefully never have to take. I would rather be prepared and not need it than not be prepared and wish I had it.

Re: Question concerning the laws

That is most defiantly true about forums.. What is the old saying? "Take what you read on a forum with a grain of salt" lol.... There is a lot of good information on here if you can just sort through the bad. I think ultimately the end result is going to be having a chat with my attorney. ...

Question concerning the laws

I am still in the lovely “processing application” phase and just have a couple of questions regarding the actual various laws. Over the last month or so I have been reading through this forum very regularly, and reading through the CHL booklet. The one thing that I have been mildly worried about is ...

Re: Almost shot him....

Ok, please excuse my ignorance if I am wrong. I am still fully learning all the stipulations of the laws and their interpretations. But in regard to the question I started looking through my trusty CHL booklet and found this. Page 60 Section 9.42 subsection 2A Deadly force to protect property “to pr...

Re: Can you believe this?

Well, response to a few statements I'll start out saying we were not tail gating. I personally hate when people tail gate me so I do not ever tail gate someone. We did not pass them aggressively either. Had we have done something aggressive toward them I would not have posted this. My impression of ...
